Since 1 July 2014, more stringent regulations are in place requiring you to allow rain water to seep into the ground. This prevents rain water from flowing into the sewer system, ensuring that the sewer system is not overloaded in case of heavy rainfall.
The new regulations apply to the construction, renovation or expansion of impermeable paving, with a new surface larger than 40 m², such as your driveway or terrace.
